Reef Check Foundation

We are a Reef Check Indonesia partner offering courses and workshops. We regularly conduct surveys on several long term reef health monitoring sites within the Nusa Penida Marine Park.

 

Reef Check EcoDiver Certification

4 Days - IDR 7.000.000

The world recognized ReefCheck EcoDiver certificate is a comprehensive training course in survey methods for monitoring coral reef health. The course has theory, practical and diving based components. The course is structured as follows:

  • Theory Day - Reef Check methods and background lectures & videos.

  • Fish & Invertebrate Day - Indentification workshop followed by two dives.

  • Coral Substrates & Impacts Day - Identification workshop follwed by two dives.

  • Survey Day - Survey methods workshop followed by complete Reef Check survey dive. Logging survey data into our database.

Prerequisites: Openwater Diver or higher

Includes:  Reef Check Crew Pack (Manual, survey slates, underwater ID guide, T-shirt)

Custom Reef Check programs such as "Discover Reef Check" is available for groups.

Reef Check Instructor

Already a Reef Check EcoDiver and looking to take the next step teaching others? This course is perfect for Divemasters or Instructors looking to add another dimension to their teaching. The prerequisites of the Instructor course vary based on number of previous reef check surveys conducted or formal academic training in marine sciences.
