Andrew Taylor, MSc.

Andrew is a marine biologist who grew up in Asia & Canada. With a formal education in Tropical Marine Ecology (MSc - JCU, Australia), Environmental Science (BSc - Concordia, Canada), and Adventure Tourism (Diploma).

Having worked for several years as a commercial diver and marine habitat biologist in Canada, he co-founded Blue Corner Dive in Nusa Lembongan, Bali in 2011. In the following years Blue Corner expanded to include additional dive centres in Indonesia (Nusa Penida & Menjangan) and a conservation organization. Andrew also holds an Associate Professor position at Vancouver Island University.

Blue Corner Marine Research is a conservation organization focusing on environmental education and coral reef restoration. Andrew founded the organization and has developed a unique curriculum in marine ecology training complete with textbooks, presentations and teaching materials in the following modules - Scientific Diving; Coral Reef Ecology; Reef Health Monitoring; Coral Restoration; and Marine Megafauna.

As a CMAS Advanced Scientific Diver Instructor, Reef Check Course Director and PADI Coral Restoration Instructor Trainer, Andrew leads our team in dive training and underwater research projects. Andrew is an experience environmental consultant and Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner through the Society of Ecological Restoration (SER).
