Indonesian Marine Research Scholarship
Each year we offer several Blue Corner Marine Research Scholarships to Indonesian university students. The program provides a two month internship for students to work together with our professional marine biologists and to train as coral restoration practitioners. During their time at Blue Corner the students conduct an independant research project.

Research Project: “Application of 3D Photogrammetry for Short-Term Monitoring of Transplanted Coral Growth in Reef Restoration Areas of Nusa Penida, Bali”
Research Summary
This research explores the use of 3D photogrammetry to monitor coral growth in reef restoration areas. By generating accurate 3D models of transplanted corals, the study provides detailed insights into their short-term development and survival. It is hoped that this non-destructive, technology-based approach will improve how restoration success is measured and support better management of coral reef ecosystems.
Future Goals
In the future, I aim to specialize in coral reef restoration and marine ecosystem management, focusing on how technological approaches such as photogrammetry, remote sensing, and data visualization can enhance conservation outcomes.
